Welcome to my hurt comfort letter I had hoped to have it done by assignments but I'm working on it! Dragon Age is halfway done and the first OW Work request is halfway done if you matched on one of the first 30 tags, that should most likely also match with about 30 tags from the OW2 prompt

Update 20-03-2025: First 30ish works of OW are done, prompts are 90% overlapping between requests, so if we matched on something else you can check and see if it's there :)

Update 22-03-2025, all OW 1 requests are done! OW2, DA and Witcher have very similar requests, so you can check if the one we matched on is in between that, in the mean time I will keep expanding :)

I really enjoy A/B/O works with or without sex, particularly those with fear and hurt/comfort due to fantastical racism/sexism and expectations. Non-sexual submission and forcing it and how that looks in an enemies to lovers/enemy to caretaker scenario really tickles my bones.

I also like the idea of mates in fluff, or that someone's scent is perfectly matched or being part of a pack and found family (or romantic equivalents)

Navy/Sailors/Ships/Pirates I just like the vibe

Just like I love the idea of being on the water, either for selfish causes or righteous causes. Also fight on decks are just sexy, and swords! People being held captive on ships and their enemies stumbling on to them, mutiny, stowaways, and stowaways that get caught!

Also out on the water no one is there to save you!

Greek mythology AUs

I just think they're neat. I'm not very knowledgeable with them in general but I do like the general vibes. Particularly Orpheus and Euriyce and Achilles/Patroclus are the ones I'm obsessed with but there are great options out there that I would love to see more of (I would prefer if you could happy-ending-ify and/or fix-it)

Particularly I would love a Hades Fusion AU. You would have my soul.

Dragon Age (Video Games)

I love Anders/Fenris a lot a lot a lot. And I like seeing them re-invented in a million ways, pre-canon, post-canon, during canon, in AUs, enemies to lovers to enemies to lovers, enemies to friends to lovers. Truly every iteration. Canon who I only know Fenders, including the Aus I mentioned, but also feel free to change their first meeting, make them never meet Hawke, have them meet on the road while Anders is running.

The only setting I would say I don't really enjoy is both of them under Danarius, otherwise go crazy!

General Likes for Fenders

• Past abuse for Anders, particulary past sexual abuse/past rape/past other forms of abuse, and trauma/ptsd that follows that 
• Fenris not knowing how to deal with his feelings
• Accidental lashing out and apologies
• Fear/comfort from either sides (but Anders' preferred) your enemy could turn you in at any time, how do you react to that
• Particularly I love version of headcanons that the reason Anders is snappy towards Fenris is just that he's waiting until Fenris snaps to turn him into the templars and he's not going to hold his breath if Fenris is going to do so anyway.
• Also love Anders trying to bargain with Fenris (with sex/favors/etc etc, or initiating those as a subtle for of bargaining) for him
• Miscommunication! Misunderstandings! Saying one thing and the other assuming it means something else (for both)
• Mutual pining!! Not Actually Unrequited Love!

I love misunderstandings due to past experiences, I love begging, I love accidental power imbalance abuse. Most of these write due to the way the ship is baked in!

However, please feel free to work with the setting format!

For example winning general can be a space marine or a pirate or a knight! The captors can be wizards or knights or royals, the warlord can be the ruler of an off-world planet or like a werewolf. The boyfriends can be fencers! I think you're getting the idea, as long as you keep the spirit please write your dream. No preference at all between these if you're waffling between multiple options!

I really enjoy A/B/O works with or without sex, particularly those with fear and hurt/comfort due to fantastical racism/sexism and expectations. Non-sexual submission and forcing it and how that looks in an enemies to lovers/enemy to caretaker scenario really tickles my bones.

I prefer Alpha/omega pairings and would prefer the whumpee to be the omega (but if you have a really interesting role reversal scenario where it's the alpha that is discriminated against also welcome!) otherwise I'm curious to see your non-traditional A/B/O dynamics.

And if you're going to lean into heat and rut go for it! Especially the vulnerability during heat and whether characters beg not to have sex (and are forced to in dubcon scenarios between requested pairings or almost forced to non-con between requested character and bad guy (tm) ) but also agreeing out of fear, or unexpected mercy where the worst is expected but the characters.

What if one of the character is limping after and the other can't look at them because they did it. I have a preference for the whumpee to have been the one bottoming if it's anal penetrative sex, otherwise no preference if it's oral.

I'm invested in B not even having considered it a possibility. Whether the sex happens or not it happens up to you! But I would love to see the fallout on how the other character feels about it (terribly I hope ;) I'm also interested in what it looks like if B doesn't find out until overhearing, or if it happens several times and creates a pattern of whump until one day B is like "I didn't know you were this insatiable" and then A can either deflect and B realizes there's something wrong or A can come clean :D
Amnesia - Character A fears Character B as a result of amnesia - what it says on the tin, whether this is from past abusive relationships, or because they were enemies or because B had threathed violence/rape non-con (whether on purpose or as a tactic up to you)

Arranged Marriage - As a Means of Keeping Enemy Under Control; Fear of Power Imbalance Abuse, Arranged marriage - Miscommunication leads to one partner being terrified of the other, Arranged marriage - miscommunication leads to partner(s) being terrified of the other spouse(s)

I love an arranged marriage, and you can use a setting where an M/M arranged marriage is unaccepted or accepted I like both! Fear of what your partner will do because you don't have the power in the scenario because you got married away. The other partner being mad and closed off because they wanted to marry for love. Both thinking the other one orchestrated this, but there still being a power dynamic.

For example for Honorable Male Warlord/Prince Given as Tribute, obviously there's good room here for miscommunication but what if the prince is closed off and the warlord thinks it's because the prince thinks he's a barbarian.

Bargaining - Victim Offers/Sacrifices Self to Protect Others - what it says on the tin, can be bargaining between pairing or for pairing :)

BDSM - Sub has trauma from past abusive D/s relationship - what it says on the tin, ignored safeword, intentional abuse, having kept someone locked up. BDSM aus welcome. Also don't need the kink on screen, just the concept tickles me but feel free to have the king on screen again

Begging for Mercy On Behalf of Third Party (Mercy Granted) - see bargaining

Character A attempts to sacrifice themself for B; B gets very upset - what it says on the tin :)
 
Character A finds out B was not only tortured and starved but also raped during long captivity - what it says on the tin, bonus points if for some reason B was accidentally at fault for the captivity (or actually at fault, mayhaps??)

Character A is scared they're going to be raped on their wedding night (it doesn't happen) - I love the fear comfort that comes with this! Particularly for arranged weddings or forced weddings the fear during the proceedings, and then either they can fight back or they can be reluctantly giving in or they can initate because that's their only form of control! Totally interested in second marriages where they were raped in the first one as well! Does B go along, when do they realize, etc, etc!!! Dubious consent due to the situation welcome! Or they can just talk it out.

Character A offers sex for protection; B thinks it's consensual (they realize before it's too late) - also see above! Dubcon welcome, this time they don't have sex but they do in the future, or no sex at all! How much the character offers is up to you, verbally (and then fearfully or taking initiative?), or just with actions. Or offering through a third party, or in a forced prostitution scenario ??

Character A takes enemy B as their (sex) slave to protect them (no sex ensues) - see also the ones above! Arranged marriage settings always welcome, past (sex) slavery encouraged but also just having B be a regular person who is taken in as a slave in this  scenario also good! Emancipation and past trauma or other fun hurt/comfort things encouraged!

Optional Tags:

A must pretend to be about to rape/torture B to rescue B - must pretend to actually rape them also welcome! Up to you if they inform B that it's going to happen, or if it's against the rules, or if they only tell them part way!

Character offers sex for protection; partner thinks it's consensual (no sex) - particularly because the relationship is in a forced prositution situation, or it's an amnesia situation, or past enemies, or the whole relationship has been for protection. I would love a partner that gets totally blindsided

Character taken prisoner; expects torture/humiliation; gets kind & honorable treatment - what it says on the tin, particularly because they heard rumors or their own people treat them badly, or they think other people would receive kind & honorable treatment but not them!!

Character tries to pretend their scars from previous physical abuse are no big deal - as long as it's not between the main pairing, should be good tbh, past domestic violence, past sexual abuse, past institutionalized abuse, past gunshot wounds from trying to escape, etc, etc

Character used to past traumatic sexual experiences is confused by genuinely loving partner - see also sex for protection (2 up), what kind of past sexual experience is up to you, forced prostitution, a partner who pushed their boundaries, past BDSM that wasn't safe or sane.

Characters in Arranged Marriage Expect Hurt But Receive Kindness Instead - see also arranged marriage above, particularly like it if they expect the others to hurt them for the thrill of it, or being dissapointing, and I always enjoy anything colored by past abuse trauma.

Dehumanized and Abused Character is Shown Genuine Love and Affection - see also sex slave/bdsm. I love past abuse that has been so normalized the abused character can't even begin to understand what genuine ness look like, I love unreliable narrator trying to figure out what the ploy is (and escalating measures to find out!!)

Dub/Noncon - A agrees to sex b/c they're afraid B will abandon them if they say no - I would strongly prefer if B would never abandon them if they say no, and especially if it would have never even crossed their mind, and the shock/despair when they find out. Sex or no sex both okay! Also see sex for protection above!

Enemies to Lovers - Character given to their Enemy as Spoils of War - see also arranged marraige or forced marriage

Enemies to Lovers - Not Actually Enemies but think they are due to past trauma - past trauma where one person hurt the other, on purpose or accidental, past trauma with members of a similar faction who were actually rogue (but the characters don't know that), past trauma due to misunderstandings and being hurt, show me enemies who slowly realize that everything they had thought about the other was wrong ;-;

Enemy realizes character is being mistreated by friends/loved ones - particularly invested in wooby-ifying/whumping the hurt character and them expecting the same thing from their enemy and the enemy being like ??? (and always bonus points for misunderstandings, begging and resignation :D)

Enemy to Caretaker - Begging Crying & Misunderstandings - what is says, I love begging, I love crying, I love layers misunderstandings that cause misunderstandings due to misinterpretation and particularly when those misunderstandings are charged with power imbalance/dynamic

Expecting more Hurt and then Receiving Comfort - why did the other person hurt them? Why won't they hurt them anymore? Accidental hurt very encouraged, panic attacks and crying as well :D, see literally any other tag for more inspo

Forced Marriage - War Prize But They End Up Falling in Love - see arranged and forced marriage, but I love the idea of a war prize being innocent but the other person not knowing it/thinking they were evil. Bonus points if the war prize admits to it in hopes of being hurt less! Also the war prize being hurt and thinking it's the partner's doing but it isn't! The realization that then leads to room for being open!

• Miscommunication angst between perceived enemies (to lovers) - I suggest several miscommunications, but one I particularly enjoy is a perceived bower imbalance and expectation of hurt (maybe you can ;) make them arranged married? ;)
• Misunderstandings - Hurt character initially believes comforter is there to hurt them more - what it says :) Love it if they a reason for believing it
• Mutual noncon - hurt!Character A doesn't know B is being forced/blackmailed into raping them - what it says :)
• Past (Underage) Survival Sex Work as Trauma - wow I'm so sorry I contracted this dnw too :( I meant for the dnw that I don't want underage between the main pairing, but I'm okay with it off-screen/as trauma as long as it's indicated it's non-con not between main pairing.
• Rescued from Sex Slavery - Initially Believes Rescuer is New Master - what it says really, love misunderstandings, begging, resignation, dehumanization, working through trauma, begging to be hurt because otherwise you think it will hurt worse.
• Sex Pollen - A doesn't remember having raped B and B doesn't want them to know; A finds out anyway - so I have dnw rape which I have realized contradicts this, I would prefer it to be a non-con where a character does not want to hurt the other but is forced to, and this forced to can be to save their own skin, for example. I just don't want A to be like I want to hurt you B and this is a great opportunity mwahaha for the rape scenario.
• Slavery AU - Slave Expects Hurt From Reluctant New Master; Receives Comfort Instead - what it says on the tin.
• Threats of Rape/Non-Con - particularly I'm looking for threaths from a third party (not main pairing), threaths that are not actually threats of rape/non-con but appear to be so due to who they are coming from/misunderstanding (for main pairing), actual threats meant to scare A, but B would never follow through (main pairing),
• Trauma - A tries to gently touch B; B flinches like they're about to be hit - see also, Abuse- character flinches (above)
• Traumatized character offers self up to loved one(s) to avoid perceived noncon (no noncon) - see also character a agrees to sex
• Traumatized character offers self up to loved one(s) to avoid perceived noncon (no sex) - see also character a agrees to sex
• Unexpected Mercy - Character Expects To Be Tortured/Killed; Begs Mercy For Another But Not Self - see also bargaining
• Winner's Room AU - Fear of Rape/Violence due to past experiences (nothing bad happens) - Winner's room is a Sports RPF concept where the winning team gets a member/multiple members from the losing team. The implications are that the winner can do "anything" to the loser (however stories vary on this, it's really 25/25/25/25 hatesex vs fear of hurt angst vs mutual feelings vs you're hot lets do it) I'm particularly aiming to see a loser who has previously been hurt be rape/non-con and this winner who is shocked at what the loser has been through and didn't know that it was like this. Bonus points for an antagonistic relationship and unreliable narrator and/or that the winner thinks it's consensual at first. Otherwise mutual pining where the loser is like "I thought you were different/I didn't want it to be like this" excellent.
